The pedagogical cycle is a sequence of methods that promotes effective instruction in the classroom. Teachers use the methods again and again as they teach and engage their students in new concepts and skills. Each step in the cycle is handled in chunks, so students are not bombarded by a large amount of knowledge, which could lead to confusion. By "chunking" the information, students are able to build-on prior knowledge as they continue to learn a skill, or concept. This teaching cycle engages students, promotes better learning, and processing of new information.
